Our love for food, passion for cooking, and wealth of travel experiences brought us to NOMAD, a worldly restaurant located in the heart of Amsterdam. We couldn’t imagine a better place to settle and share the flavors, textures, scents, colors, and cultures we’ve encountered on our travels. We hope to bring a sense of recognition and celebration to other globetrotters like us. Combining this with the relaxed and carefree feeling of being on vacation, our commitment to sustainability, and respect for the planet, makes NOMAD a truly special place.

CHEF DENISA

Meet Chef Denisa, a talented culinary artist with roots in Slovakia. Throughout her travels across Europe, Chef Denisa developed a passion for fine dining and a love for using natural and healthy ingredients. This passion was ignited during her childhood on a farm, where she learned to appreciate the beauty of fresh, homegrown ingredients and the importance of minimizing waste. When Chef Denisa arrived in Amsterdam, she immediately fell in love with the city and decided to settle down and continue pursuing her love of fine dining and cooking. Today, she brings her wealth of cultural influences and commitment to using natural and healthy products, as well as her dedication to reducing waste, to the kitchen at NOMAD, creating a truly unique and delicious fine dining experience for our guests.

If you’re looking for a truly special dining experience, look no further than NOMAD aan het IJ. Our restaurant boasts some of the most breathtaking views of Amsterdam, particularly as the sun sets. From our location on the IJ river, you can take in the sights of the city and watch boats of all kinds pass by. Inside, you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported to a cozy and welcoming medina, with Oriental touches and luxurious velvet and green accents. We’ve designed our restaurant to be a place where you can relax and feel at home, spending the entire evening without feeling any rush to leave. Whether you’re enjoying a drink at the bar or a full dinner, we believe that the ambiance at NOMAD is an essential part of the overall experience. We can’t wait to welcome you and show you why our restaurant is one of the most amazing in Amsterdam.

Accessibility

NOMAD is conveniently located in the heart of Amsterdam, just an 8-minute walk from the central station. You can also take bus 48 from the central station in the direction of IJdok and get off at Amsterdam Westerdoksdijk, which is just a 3-minute walk from the restaurant.

If you’re driving to NOMAD, you’ll find it easy to park at the Interparking IJdok garage, located just next door to the restaurant. If you book in advance, you can reserve a spot in the garage starting at €9, though prices may vary.
